My Brothers,
This message, my final one to you as your servant Master, comes to you during the during the intensely busy holiday season. Between your increased responsibilities to your family, business and friends I hope you'll take an evening and spend it with your Brothers. You're always welcome and valued.
We've heard and read a lot lately about Freemasonry in the media since the publication of Dan Brown's latest book. The thoughtful among those writing and speaking on the subject, who are not members of our gentle Craft, seem most impressed and even somewhat bewildered about how we can all meet together despite our differences.
And isn't that the point. That good men of every race, creed, nationality, orientation, political opinion, level of education, etc. may meet to assist each other in our own personal development and improvement. It is heartening for me to know that while the journey is my own, I have a world full of Brothers ready to give what they can (advice, instruction, encouragement, good counsel, prayer and more) to help me on my path to be the person I want to be.
It's taking me a long time to become that person. I've suffered some self-imposed set backs along the way. But I know that I wouldn't have made it this far without the influence and direction of Freemasonry and Freemasons. For that I will always be your grateful servant and will do my best to "build a bridge" for the men who follow after me. So mote it be.
Fraternally, Frank Frank E. Rich Master
